Slalom Race, Shaws Bridge, 25th April 2010

I have been tasked with organising a slalom race on Sunday 25th April. This was a great success last year with a great turn out from LCP. It is a fun event suitable for all levels as there will be lots of safety cover. Please put it in your diary!

This year we want greater participation from novices and clubs.

If any of you could commit to help as first aiders, timers/scorers or just safety cover it would be really appreciated - send me a PM. We will brief you in advance on how to score etc.

Hey yea il definately be attending this, it mite be the 2nd weekend of my level 1 assessment but il hopefully know asasp. I could mention this event to Oisin and use the 6 trainees from tollymore as saftey/first/scorers???? Would be good practice.

This would be a great event to take part in. I paddled this as an novice last year & it is brill. It does not matter if you are not a slalom paddler , just turn up & give it a go .

Ian, I will be there to take part or help you in any way you want.

Guys, hope you are all polishing you're slalom skills. LCP is officially providing safety cover so it would be great if you can let me know if you are def attending - especially those of you who have FSRC

We are really pleased that some of the NI Special Olympic Athletes will be competing They will need led round a flat water section of the course and extra cover for safety so help with that would be much appreciated.

Hopefully see you all Sunday - if not before. (Word is that Big Col has been beat'n up and down Shaws like there's no tomorrow!! )

I'll be there sunday competing as well as safety cover. Damn Ian told you not to tell everyone about my extra training (not that it will do any good)

It would be very unsporting to turn up on Saturday and have a wee practice on the course (see you all there at 10.00!! )
