Does anyone who has entered the Liffey Descent fancy doing a few wee trips from Glenmore to Drumbeg?
The idea being not only distance but getting to grips with weir running and confidence building as there will be one or two on the Liffey what do people think? Any other suggestions most welcome.

I'm trying to get a paddle in this weekend so if anyone interested and does not mind driving to good old donegal, thinking of tory island. out saturday back sunday or if preferred could paddle out and back sunday. weather reports are currently promising - if it stays that way!!! Option 3 - Early Sat morn home Sat night

Anyone else who want to come along is very welcome. You will see what the Liffey is all about. There's probably as many spectators as competitors.

Unfortunately I have to go with option 3.

Alright folks - i need a bit of advice, Next spring /summer im thinking of upgrading the boat to something maybe a bit more challenging / playful - maybe a playboat or a hybrid number. The only problem is my height (well my feet) and trying to fit into a playboat which would be semi - comfortable (ie doesnt feel like my ankles are about to pop out) for longer than 10 mins. Iv been looking and sitting in a few playboats and they are far to small for me and iv even sat in the Dagger Juice ...

Hi all. I am due back 25th and a lot heavier than when I went away. Vix has suggested Boot camp but no spaces left on short notice. I am intending going to Shaws every evening until dark for some major paddling and excerise. See you all there if you think you can stick the pace!!!!

Lower Liffey Race Sunday 15th

This is Sunday is the Lower Liffey race. This is over the second part of the descent course and good practise for the big race.

This has the harder weirs but at a lower level giving you a chance to learn your line.

Myself and sonya are going down and could squeeze 1 more. Race starts at 12 at SLCC (leixlip lake)

I need something as bis as a Dagger GTMAX. I have tried the GTS and it is a tad to small. I am just in my forst few months of starting out so am open to advice. If anyone spots anything anywhere or has other kit that they are looking to sell then drop me a note. Just remember I am a big guy and need equipment that will cope with me nagging at it all the time.
